The Vega Islands with 6,500 islands, islets and reefs are perfect for exploring by kayak. If you enjoy paddling, this area is a “must” to experience!
We have rental single kayaks and tandem kayaks. We do not require documentation of safety and rescue training course, but assume that you know your limits and have taken the necessary precautions in relation to safety. All paddling in our kayaks is at your own risk.
Kayak rental
Base Camp Vega offers sea kayak rentals. We have 18 single kayaks and 2 tandem kayaks that are robust and stable for paddling in the exciting waters around Vega.
Price per day
Prices are NOK 800 for single kayak and NOK 1,185 for tandem kayaks per. day.
Short time kayak rental
We also have 3-hour rental of the kayaks with 2 options:
- Morning: 09.00 to 12.00
- Afternoon: 13.00 to 16.00
Price 3 hour rental
3-hour rental costs NOK 450 for single kayak and NOK 600 for tandem kayak.
Practical information
Rental kayaks are available between 8.30 and 9.00 in the morning and return between 17.30 and 18.00 in the afternoon in our base camp in Sundsvollveien 70.
The kayaks must be cleaned after use, but this service can be purchased at a price of NOK 200 pr. kayak.
